Bio of blog author Ιωάννης Ε. Άλλιος: My name is Yianni Allios. I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1972. My hometown during my childhood and youth was Goumenissa in Macedonia, Greece. I’ve lived in Thessaloniki, Lamia, Al Hasakah, Skidra, and Polykastro. Since 2009, I have been a proud resident of Kilkis due to a change in my occupation. I am an employee of the state and work at the Regional Directorate of the National Organization for Healthcare Services Provision.

God has blessed my wife, Vicky, and me with two daughters, Despina (born 2007) and Rafaelia (born 2010).

I hold an integrated master’s degree in Computer and Electronics Systems Engineering from the International Hellenic University (IHU). I speak Greek, English, and some Spanish, I am also an active reservist in the Hellenic Army, with the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Ordnance.

I have worked as IT personnel for ‘Terra Tech Hellas’, ‘Domiki Enimerosi’ publications, ‘Leaf Tobacco Kapniki’ and ‘A.M.A.I. Industries’. As a hobbyist, I have gained experience in distilling alcohol and viticulture. I also dabble in copper engraving. A “wanna-be” author of short science fiction stories, currently working on my first publication in English.

My main interests include the Semantic Web, Embedded Automation Systems, and programming for both conventional and unconventional computers. I also make it a point to study and explore a wide range of sciences, driven by a desire to understand how things work in nature, the mind, and even in parapsychology. You could easily say I’m passionate about conspiracy theories, extraterrestrial life, paranormal phenomena, hidden archaeology, and even cryptozoology.

Yep! And I’m not ashamed to admit it!
